Neds Reviews and Users Ratings
Match.Center’s main objective is to provide the beginners and experienced users with complete and comprehensive information about every legal bookmaker operating in Australia. We have analysed the bookmaker objectively, have not distorted the information for our own benefit and have assessed the bookmaker solely from the perspective of the average user. This is why Neds only scored 7.3 out of possible 10 points. We significantly lowered our score in categories such as “Line”, “Payments”, “Registration & Customer Support” and “Ease of Navigation & Design”. Later in the review we will explain in detail why we gave these scores for each criterion.

How to Bet with Neds
Neds is a new bookmaker, part of the Entain Group. It only started operating in the Australian betting market in 2017, but has already established itself as one of the best betting operators in the country. Read on to find out how to sign up, successfully verify your account and start betting.
How to Sign Up For Neds
Neds, like all other licensed bookmakers in Australia, is only available to people over the age of 18, who are permanently resident on the continent or in New Zealand. If you meet these criteria, you should have no problem with registration. Open the official Neds website and click “Join Now” in the top right-hand corner. You can also start the registration process in the bookmaker’s app or via the mobile version of the betting website.
There are two ways to create an account at Neds:
- Log in via PayPal. Only suitable for users who already have a PayPal account.
- Go through the standard registration process on the betting website.
If you choose the standard registration process, Neds will require you to specify:
- Salutation (Mr, Ms, Miss, Mrs);
- First and last name;
- Email;
- Code (optional);
- Username;
- Password;
- Date of birth;
- Phone number;
- Residential address.
Before you complete the registration and press the “Create account” button, the bookmaker will ask you to choose one of the options: “Set a Deposit Limit” or “Don’t Set A Deposit Limit”. You can refuse to make a deposit immediately and make it later, when it is more convenient for you.
Neds Verification
In accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, you must verify your account within 72 hours of registration This rule is not set by Neds, but by the Australian government. Unverified accounts may be blocked.
For a successful verification, you must send two documents to the Neds support team, one from each category:
- Primary photographic identification or Primary non-photographic identification.
- Secondary identification.
| Primary Photographic Identification | Primary non-Photographic Identification | Secondary Identification |
|---|---|---|
| Australian Driver’s Licence

Note: If foreign documents are not in English, Neds security may require you to translate them.
If you do not complete verification in time, the bookmaker will suspend your account until the relevant documents are provided. Moreover, the bookmaker may again request the documents to verify the customer’s personal details at any time at its discretion. This usually happens when the bookmaker suspects that the betting account is not being used for betting, but to hide money from the banks or the tax authorities. This is a standard document verification. This kind of verification can affect absolutely every Neds client.
Also in accordance with The Privacy Act of 1988, Neds has the right to share customers’ personal data with third parties. For example:
- Companies that provide identity verification services (Green ID and Equifax);
- Providers of customer analysis services;
- Neds professional advisors;
- Neds payment service providers;
- Public authorities;
- Regulatory authorities;

Bet hereHow to Place a Bet on Neds online
Once you have created an account, you need to find out how to place your first bet. The process is not complicated. All you have to do is follow these steps:
- Select the sport you are interested in.
- Click on the window with the specified odds.
- Open the bet slip.
- Select the bet type (Single, Multi).
All bets at Neds can be placed via the bookmaker’s official website, mobile app or over the phone. The minimum bet online is $0.50, by telephone on live events is $5, and $10 on pre-match matches/races.
The maximum winnings at Neds is $500 000. Regardless of whether there was a live or a pre-match bet. The exception is an accumulator bet on the same race. In this case, the maximum payout is only $300 000 and the maximum odds are 10001.00.
The maximum payout for a Pick Your Own Odds (PYOO) bet is $25 000 and the maximum bet amount is $10 000.
Australian Neds Payment Methods
The minimum deposit amount at Neds is $5 (Visa/Mastercard, Pay ID, PayPal, POLi, Apple Pay, Neds Card and bank transfer). Flexepin has the strictest deposit requirements. Only $20 or more can be deposited via these prepaid cards.
Customer service provides contradictory information about deposit and withdrawal limits. One support operator (Mark) states that there are no minimum withdrawal limits at all. Another specialist (Cody) says that only Flexepin has a maximum deposit limit – $500 and Cash In – $5000. Both of the two support operators later admitted to using old data from the T&C’s document. Neds should be ashamed of such employees. They don’t know their job!
We’ve registered on the bookmaker’s website ourselves and personally checked all the information. It turns out that only Visa/Mastercard, Pay ID, PayPal, POLi, Apple Pay, Neds Card, bank transfer and BPAY do not have maximum deposit limits. With Flexepin, however, you can only top up $1000 per day, and with Cash In you can deposit $2500 at a time.
Every time you make a deposit, you must bet the full amount of the deposit before withdrawing. If it appears that you are making deposits and withdrawals without placing any bets, Neds may freeze your account indefinitely for investigation, based on the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act of 2006. Your betting account should not be used as a bank account. You may only deposit money into your account with the intention of placing a bet or repaying any amounts owed to the bookmaker (in cases of incorrect charges in favour of the punter).
The rules state that if you make repeated deposits and withdrawals without a proportionate placing of bets, Neds is fully entitled, without a prior notice, to debit your account for any bank or other charges incurred by the company in relation to your transactions.
What else is important to know before making a deposit?
- Any withdrawal to a bank account or card that is issued by a foreign bank will be subject to a fee from Neds. Administration fees will be deducted from the amount you intend to withdraw. The amount of the fee is determined individually for each customer. This is most common for New Zealanders who bet with Neds. If you have an account with a New Zealand bank, you will be charged a fee when you make transactions. It is better to open an account with an Australian bank for such purposes and not pay a fee on every financial transaction.
- Any transactions should be made using a card with your name on it. Do not use someone else’s card or your account may be frozen by the bookmaker to clarify the situation.
If you need statements of prepaid card transactions, send an email to the bookmaker at [email protected]

How to Make a Deposit to Neds
There are two options on how to fund your Neds account: at the time of registration and through your personal account. Let’s consider both options.
At the time of registration.
Go through the standard registration process on the betting website and before you click “Create Account” set deposit limits for yourself. You will have to choose “Set Limit Duration” (1, 7, 14, 30 or 365 days) and “Deposit amount” (minimum – $5). Next, a window with deposit methods will open:
- Select the preferred deposit method.
- Enter bank details.
- Enter the deposit amount.
- Confirm the financial transaction.
Through your personal account.
The deposit process via personal account is almost identical to the one offered by the bookmaker at the time of registration. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
- At the top of the screen click on the “Deposit” button.
- Select the deposit method.
- Enter your bank details.
- Enter the deposit amount.
- Confirm your transaction.
How to Withdraw from Neds
At Neds, not all deposit methods can be used for withdrawals either. What’s more, the bookmaker only provides three Cash Out methods: PayPal, Neds Card and bank transfer. The fastest way to get money is via your own Neds card – instantly, according to the bookmaker. But withdrawals via PayPal and bank transfer take 1 to 3 business days.
To withdraw the money you will have to:
- Login to your personal account.
- Click the “Withdraw” button.
- Choose a withdrawal method.
- Enter the amount to withdraw.
- Confirm the operation.
- Wait for the money to be credited to the account.
Neds: What Sports Are On Offer?

- Baseball;
- Basketball;
- Boxing;
- Cricket;
- Cycling;
- Darts;
- Esports;
- Golf;

In addition to classic sports, the bookmaker also offers bets on “Novelty” (Music, Academy Awards, Triple J Hottest 100, Sports Personality of the Year) and “Politics” (US Elections, UK Politics, Irish Unification, Australian Federal Politics, Victoria Politics, etc.).
Let’s take a look at the top 3 sports that Australians love the most. And find out how wide the range of markets for these sports is at Neds.
Racing
The bookmaker’s main priority is betting on Racing (Horse Racing, Greyhound, Harness). There is a separate section for these sports on the Neds platform. There are over 70 events every day and more than 30 events for Outrights bets. Even if the races are only 50, 100 or 350 days away. For example, the Fremantle Cup, New Zealand Derby, Miracle Mile, The Quokka, Melbourne Cup, and etc.
The daily Racing betting list covers the entire geography of our planet. However, the bookmaker writes the specific location of the race rather than the name of the race. For many newcomers, this way of placing bets can be extremely inconvenient.
The bookmaker has tried to accommodate all possible customer preferences and offers a wide range of bet types, as well as a huge amount of statistics.
Bet types on Racing:
- Win/Place;
- Same Game Multi;
- Blended;
- Money Back Odds (MBO);
- Pick Your Own Odds (PYOO);
- Trifecta;
- First Four;
- Quinella;
- Exacta;
- Quaddie;
- Daily Double;
- Running Double;
- Treble.
Racing statistics:
- Money Tracker;
- Fluctuations;
- Full Form Guide;
- SpeedMap.
Tennis
Each year tennis has been consistently rated as one of Australia’s favourite sports. Every January Melbourne hosts one of four Grand Slam tournaments, the Australian Open. The event attracts fans from all over the world and brings the best sport stars to Australia.
As well as the Grand Slam, Neds also offers bets on a variety of tournaments from the ITF and Challenger series, as well as national team events such as the Davis Cup.
The choice of events is fine but the betting selection is quite typical: the more prestigious the tournament, the wider the range of markets, and vice versa. For niche tournaments, the choice is not big. For example, in the case of the ITF tournament “Women Mar Del Plata” you can bet only on the winner of the game – Match Betting. For the Montevideo Open, however, the bookmaker offers up to 17 bet types (Match Betting, Set Betting, Total Games, Total Sets, Games Handicap, etc.).
Unfortunately, the bookmaker does not provide any statistics on tennis. There aren’t even infographics for the matches. This is a serious disadvantage compared to the kind of versatile statistics centre presented in the “Racing” section.
Cricket
Cricket is the national sport of Australia. It is controlled by the Cricket Australia sports federation under whose auspices all national championships (e.g. Sheffield Shield, One Day Cup, Twenty 20 Big Bash, and etc.) are held, and the national cricket team is sponsored.
Five cricket tournaments are represented in Neds, and that’s not enough: the WBBL, Test Matches, Sheffield Shield, Ford Trophy and Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League. There are also Futures/Outrights.
As for the bet types, it varies depending on the tournament. For example, at Sheffield Shield, the bookmaker offers up to 5 bet types (Match Betting, Tasmania/Victoria Top 1st Innings Runscorer, Tasmania/Victoria Top 1st Innings Wicket Taker), while at the Ford Trophy there is only one bet type – Match Betting.
Neds Live betting
In 2001, the Interactive Gambling Act was passed by the Australian Parliament. The new Act severely restricted bookmakers by banning live betting.
Once the Act was enacted, Australian officials thought that the problem of gambling addiction in the country was effectively solved and the turnover of legal betting companies would decrease significantly. But unfortunately, the Act did not have much success in practice.
The bookmakers have come up with an ingenious scheme to circumvent the law, which appealed to local punters. And for more than 20 years the parliament has been unable to find a way to stop it. The Australian bookmakers have offered a feature called ‘Click to Call’, as a replacement for banned ‘Live betting’. A punter who wants to place a live bet would now call the bookie’s operator and say what he or she wants to bet on. If the bookmaker accepted a bet over the phone, they automatically deducted money from the customer’s balance. This feature did not violate the country’s laws, and all attempts of parliamentarians to cover the loophole failed already at the discussion stage. The lobbyists for the Australian betting market also played a part in such discussions.
Here’s how the Click to Call feature works at Neds:
- Open the bookmaker’s official website or the mobile app.
- Go to the “Live/In Play” section.
- Select the desired sport.
- Choose the market.
- Click on the odds.
- Call the number that appears on the screen.
- Dictate your full name and the code shown on the screen to the operator.
- After confirming the information, dictate your live bet.
- Wait for confirmation from the operator.
Streaming on Neds
Neds is one of the few bookmakers in the Australian market with a live video streaming service. Unfortunately, the bookmaker only offers live streaming on Racing (Horse Racing, Harness, Greyhound). For those who like racing, that’s certainly a nice bonus.
You can watch the race or the horse racing show on the two channels: “Live 1” and “Live 2”. The broadcast quality cannot be adjusted, and it could be better. Otherwise, there are no complaints: the live stream is running smoothly and without any lags.
Neds App
The Australian bookmaker also offers betting through its own app. You can download the app from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android). If you have Android, you can also install the app directly from the bookmaker’s website by downloading the installation apk file.
Neds App for iOS
Step-by-step instructions on how to download an app to your iPhone:
- Open the App Store.
- In the search box, type the bookmaker’s name “Neds-Sport & Race Betting”.
- Click on the “Download” button.
After downloading and installing the app, the icon will automatically appear on the iPhone screen.
In case you cannot find the betting app in the App Store directly, there is another way to download:
- Open the mobile version of the betting site.
- Click on the App Store logo at the bottom of the screen.
- The App Store page with the betting app will open.
- Click on the “Download” button.
Neds for Android
The instruction to install the app via Google Play for Android is the same:
- Open the Google Play store.
- In the search box, type the bookmaker’s name “Neds-Sport & Race Betting”.
- Click on the “Download” button.
Once you have downloaded and installed the app, the icon will automatically appear on your smartphone screen.
If you can’t find the betting app on Google Play directly, you won’t be able to access the page with the app via the betting site. It is unclear why, but the link to Google Play from the official Neds website does not work.
However, there is another way: download the apk file from the betting site, requesting the link from the support team.
You can also find the link yourself.
Here is the instruction:
- Go to the “FAQs & Help” section of the betting site.
- In the search box, type in the word “App”.
- Open the article “How to download and install the Neds mobile app?”.
- Find the subtitle “Android”.
- Click on the orange word “Download here”.
- “It’s time to Download The Neds App” page will open.
- Under “Android Requirements”, click on the orange button “Latest Android App”.
Done! After this, an apk file will download to your phone and you need to install it. We can assure you, the program is without viruses and the installation lasts only 1-2 minutes.
The Neds app supports the same features as the betting site. There is also the option to watch a live stream of the race. The only difference is the layout of the main sections. On the Neds website, the menu bar is on the left-hand side, while the app has one at the bottom of the screen. Navigation is very easy: you can open “Racing”, “Sports”, “Next Up” or go to your personal account in one click.

Neds Promotions
Under the Consumer Protection Act (NCRF), betting advertising is prohibited in Australia from May 27, 2019. The law primarily applies to all public places, including stadiums, streets, bus stops and parks. TV advertisements are also partially prohibited. Thus, ads for betting products are not permitted during TV programmes classified G or lower from 6 to 8.30 am and 4 to 7 pm, or in programmes aimed at children between 5 am and 8.30 pm.
To the great disappointment of betting haters, most of the bookmakers ignore the Government’s bans. Companies continue to indirectly promote their brands and bonuses, for example on professional sportsmen’s shirts, on street posts, on social networks, and through email newsletters. And the number of betting advertisements during permitted hours has even increased. Local state documents confirm this: there were 948 gambling ads daily on Victorian free to air TV in 2021, up 253% from 2016.
Neds Australia Bonuses
Before the fight against widespread betting advertising began in 2019, the first attempts to restrict advertising were introduced in the Interactive Gambling Act back in 2001. When the issue of how to combat gambling addiction first came up in the country, the local officials proposed a ban on advertising bonus offers on websites to unauthorised users.
According to that law, the bettors had only two legal ways to find out about the licensed bookmaker’s promotions:
- Register with the bookmaker and access the Promotions section.
- When registering, agree to an email newsletter to keep up to date with all bonuses from the bookmaker.
Such restrictions from local MPs certainly did not suit the betting world. And even the daily fines of up to $1.1 million did not scare them off. From a financial point of view, it was more profitable to continue advertising their bonus promotions, but still pay regular fines – the bookmakers did just that.
On websites and in apps, you can only view bonuses once you have registered. But on the street, in stadiums, parks and other public places, the bookmakers continued to advertise massively until at least 2019, when the Consumer Protection Act (NCRF) was passed.
There are also regional differences: at the federal government level, the officials are advocating a ban on bookmaker advertising, while the local authorities have meanwhile lifted bans and allowed companies to advertise. Two Australian states, New South Wales and Victoria, have already eased bans on bookmakers. Officials in both states have allowed advertising “enhanced odds offers”. And Victoria even has official advertising for “reload bonuses”.
The Match.Center team discovered that you can find out about the betting bonuses without any authorisation right on the company’s platform. All you have to do is open the document entitled “Terms and Conditions”. You can see this most clearly with the Neds bookmaker.
We can’t share information about specific bonuses, but their terms and conditions give an insight into what promotions the bookmaker uses regularly. Of course, this is not 100% confirmation that there is definitely such a bonus on the site. In the screenshot below, for example, there is information about a deposit reload bonus for existing customers.
What bonuses are described in the Neds’ Terms and Conditions:
- Bet Match;
- Deposit Match;
- Deposit Bonus;
- Bonus Bets;
- Bonus Cash;
- Odds Boost;
- Odds Boost Racing Extra;
- Odds Boost Sports Extra;
- Price Boost;
- Boost Multis;
- Money Back Odds;
- Bet Back Tool;
- Jump Off Tool;
- Back Up Tool;
- Fluc Up Tool;
- Extra Nudge;
- Legends Boost;
- 6 Pack;
- Race Refunds;
- No Place Tool;
- Multi Rescue Tool;
- The Pot;
- Take Down Tool;
- Quaddie Cover Tool;
- Trifecta Rescue Tool.
We do not advertise bookmakers’ bonuses. It is prohibited by Australian law. We only use the information provided in the official bookmakers’ documents.
What else you should know before you bet Neds
The owner of Neds is Entain Group Pty Ltd, an investment holding company. What makes this company special is that in addition to Neds, the holding also owns ladbrokes.com.au, bookmaker.com.au and betstar.com.au. This means that the betting service is more or less the same at all these bookmakers. What’s more, the Terms and Conditions document states that if you break the rules at Neds, the company reserves the right to freeze your accounts at all four bookmakers at once.
Key Features of Neds Betting
- Neds offers 20+ sports, as well as betting on “Politics” and “Novelty”. The widest range of markets is, of course, on “Racing”.
- You can also bet on Esports (CS:GO, LoL, Valorant, Dota 2, Call of Duty, Rainbow 6 Siege, StarCraft 2).
- There is a “Punter Assist” option – allows you to manage your own account, set limits and restrictions on bets and deposits.
- Live streaming is available for all types of racing (Horse Racing, Harness, Greyhounds).
- An info blog is available for betting analysis. You can also read all the current news from the world of sports.
- Neds Card, the bookmaker’s own card with instant withdrawals, is available for deposits and withdrawals.
Neds Odds
Depending on the status of the tournament, the bookmaker’s margin varies. For example, for top football and basketball matches, the margin is between 5.5% and 6.5%. Meanwhile, for tennis the odds are heavily underestimated. The margin reaches 8% – 9%. In general, we can say that the margin at Neds is almost always higher than at Top Sports or PalmerBet.
| Sport | League | Date | Match | Margin of 1×2 in % | Margin of totals in % |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Soccer | World Cup 2022 | 22/11/2022 | France – Australia | 4.5% | 6.4% |
| Soccer | UEFA Competitions | 14/02/2023 | Frankfurt – Napoli | 6.4% | 7.5% |

| Tennis | Valencia Challenger | 24/11/2022 | Carlos Lopez Montagud – Gian Marco Moroni | 8.2% | 8% |
Example of margin calculation for football. World Cup 2022. Round 1. France v Australia. The bookmaker has set the following odds on the final result of the match: 1.29 – 5.25 – 11.00 (Home team to win – Draw – Away team to win). Let’s calculate the fee using the formula: (1/1.29 + 1/5.25 + 1/11.00 – 1) x 100 = 5.5%. For a match of this level, the margin is good.
| Bookmaker | France | Draw | Australia | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Neds | 1.29 | 5.25 | 11.00 | 4.5% |
| Ladbrokes | 1.29 | 5.25 | 11.00 | 5.5% |
| TopSport | 1.29 | 5.80 | 9.50 | 5.2% |
| Palmerbet | 1.28 | 5.50 | 10.00 | 6% |
Example of margin calculation for basketball. NCAAB. Vanderbilt – Saint Mary’s CA. Before the game, the odds for Match Result are 3.50 and 1.30 respectively. The bookmaker’s margin: (1/3.50 + 1/1.30 – 1) x 100 = 5.4%.
| Bookmaker | Vanderbilt | Saint Mary’s CA | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neds | 3.50 | 1.30 | 5.4% |
| Ladbrokes | 3.50 | 1.30 | 5.4% |
| TopSport | 3.60 | 1.29 | 5.2% |
| Palmerbet | 3.72 | 1.28 | 4.8% |
Example of margin calculation for tennis. Montevideo Open. Rosa Vicens Mas – Ipek Oz. The odds for the tennis players to win are: 2.25 – 1.57. Substitute these values into the formula and we get (1/2.25 + 1/1.57 – 1) x 100 = 8%.
| Bookmaker | Rosa Vicens Mas | Ipek Oz | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neds | 2.25 | 1.57 | 8.00% |
| Ladbrokes | 2.25 | 1.57 | 8.00% |
| TopSport | 2.31 | 1.58 | 6.4% |
| Palmerbet | 2.27 | 1.59 | 6.8% |
How Do I Get a Neds Card?
The bookmakers’ own cards are a distinctive feature of the Australian betting market. Such cards have one major advantage over classic payment systems: instant withdrawal from the betting account. The betting cards then allow you to make purchases in store or online, and to make bank transfers, just like a normal bank card.
Entain Group Pty Ltd has supported this trend for the sake of Neds customers and has also issued its own card, the Neds Card. The card operates on the Mastercard payment system, but Neds Card Visa is not yet available to order. Only Australian residents, not New Zealand residents, can get the Neds Card.
How to get a Neds Card:
- Register on the betting site.
- Verify your account.
- Order the card in the “Neds Card” section.
- Within 21 days, the card with the activation code and PIN code will arrive at your post or will be delivered by courier to your house.
- Activate the card in your personal account and at an ATM.
How to activate the Neds Card in the personal account:
- Log in to the betting site.
- Go to your personal account.
- Open the deposit methods.
- Click on the Neds Card.
- Enter the 9-digit activation code you received with your Neds Card.
- Done! Your card is activated.
How to activate the Neds Card at an ATM:
- Find an ATM near you.
- Insert the Neds Card into an ATM.
- Enter the PIN code of the card.
- Request your balance.
- Done! Your card is activated for purchases and transfers.
Note: Simply inserting the card into an ATM and entering the PIN code is not enough. You must also request a balance. Yes, we understand that there is $0.00 in the account at this time, but this request will activate the card.

Customer Service at Neds
The company’s customer support works quickly, but not efficiently. The operators sometimes give completely wrong answers – we experienced this first-hand during the review.
In an attempt to clarify the situation with the limits of different payment methods, we received completely different information from two operators. And they both used old T&C’s data for their answers. We mentioned this above and even attached screenshots of the conversations.
We recommend that you do not just ask the operator questions but ask them for a link to the section with similar information. It is better to make sure that the answer is correct by yourself.
The ways to contact the bookmaker:
- Live chat. Available 24/7.
- Hotline. Call +61 8 6193 7043. Available 24/7.
- Feedback form. Enter your first and last name, email, phone number, subject and message. You will receive a reply by email.
There is also a detailed FAQ section on the site. You can find almost everything there. Keep in mind that the main screen of the section contains only the most relevant articles. If you have a specific question, try searching for the answer using keywords through the search box.
Tips and Tricks for Betting at Neds
Sports betting is a way to spend a pleasant evening with friends and to cheer on your favourite team with even more interest. Don’t think of betting as a way of making money. The Match.Center team has some tips for betting at Neds.
- Verify your account. Remember, you only have 72 hours after registration to verify. Otherwise, the access to your account will be frozen. Solve this problem as soon as you register. Otherwise, when you need to bet quickly, the bookmaker won’t give you such an opportunity. There is a risk that you will miss out on a good bet. And you’ll have nobody else to blame but yourself.
- Decide what sports to bet on. Random bets are a sure way to lose. It’s not only important to pick a good bet, you need to be able to back it up. While for Racing the bookmaker offers plenty of statistics that can be quickly analysed, there is no such thing for other sports. So you’ll have to look for it on other websites. Make sure you do that in advance, because the more information you have about the event, the better your chances of success.
- Manage your finances properly. There is no point in risking your bankroll and betting all your money on just one event. Remember, there is no such thing as a 100% guarantee of winning. It is a myth! It is better to bet no more than 1-2% of your total bankroll on every bet. That way you can overcome bad streaks and keep some money safe.
